Job Summary

The Impound Specialist II will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing and processing required functions in accordance to Impound processes and requirements.  Processes and functions should be performed in accordance to regulations, policy and procedure with responsibilities including, but are not limited to, handling impound accounts and matters with impound expertise and at a heightened impound knowledge level.  The Impound Specialist II will work closely with the Impound Manager, Impound facilitates, vendors, Legal Department and internal Leadership Team when handling impound matters, customer escalations, and impound process defects.  Specific handling items could also include performing actions that would reduce potential losses within the impound portfolio, abandonment review, replevin action with the legal department, escalated negotiating, as well as performing manager designated tasks due to expertise, knowledge, and experience with end to end impound processes and requirements.

Job Duties

Handle and process assigned volume, projects and target assignments within Impound processes for appropriate handling within established SLA

Service Impound calls and correspondence involving customers, legal department, impound vendors, and recovery vendors as required and delegated  

Complete Impound functions and process with escalation, effort to mitigate losses, accuracy and in compliance with regulations, policy and procedure

Assist other departments, Vendors, Legal Department and Impound Manager as needed, required and directed

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two (2) plus years of experience in servicing center environment

Two (2) plus years of experience in Impound requirements and processes

High level of knowledge in Impound process, regulations, requirements and structure

Knowledge of collections policies and procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Established verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Adaptable to changes within a face paced environment
