Exeter executive named to 2023 “Women in Auto Finance” list

Exeter Finance LLC, a leading indirect auto finance company, has announced that Dana Baker, Senior Vice President of Originations Support, has been named to Auto Fin Journal’s “2023 Women in Auto Finance” list.

The list annually recognizes what the publication calls the “most dedicated and talented professionals throughout the used-car industry,” and Baker is among three other company leaders to receive this honor in recent years.

Baker is an accomplished auto finance executive who has positively impacted consumers, customer service teams, operations groups, and origination efforts for two decades. Since joining Exeter in 2012, she has made significant strides in increasing efficiencies and integrating new technology focused on automating manual processes. Among other accomplishments under her leadership is increased collections in active and charge-off recoveries with our valued dealer partners and above-average associate engagement scores.

Before joining Exeter, Baker served in operations support and funding roles for CitiMortgage and CitiFinancial Auto. She also held discounter and account services positions for Ford Credit Commercial Lending and Ford Motor Credit Company. She holds an Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Business from Collin College in McKinney, Texas.

Prior to Baker being named, Exeter has hosted leaders named to the Women in Auto Finance list since 2019, inclusive of Chief Information Officer Michele Rodgers, Chief Human Resources Officer Michelle Whatley, and Senior Vice President Tamika Barrera.

Baker is one of 14 women who were named to the 2023 list – out of more than 60 nominees – who were featured in Auto Fin Journal’s September issue. She will join the other honorees in a panel discussion during the Used Car Week conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, from Nov. 6-9, 2023
